Is EBPMS recognised by the DVSA ?
Yes, EMPMS is recognised by the DVSA as an alternative to Roller Brake Testing and has been included in DVSA’s ‘Guide to maintaining roadworthiness’.
Can I completely remove the need for Roller Brake Testing ?
You will still need to complete at least one RBT at annual MOT Inspection, but yes EBPMS may be used as a means to assess trailer-braking performance and provide a brake performance value while the vehicle is in service.
Can I download an EBPMS certificate for my records ?
Yes, TrailerMaster allows you to print a copy of your EBPMS report for your records. Better still if you are using our Compliance Connect feature a copy will automatically be downloaded and stored against your trailers inspection record.
Can I fit the system to any trailer ?
Yes, TrailerMaster is designed to work with any trailer. All we need are a few details from you like the manufacturer, build year and EBS Valve type. Don’t worry if you don’t know this, we will work with you to get the trailers up and running.
Is my trailer too old ?
TrailerMaster can be fitted to any age of trailer, however some very old EBS valves do not provide the data we need to support some of our features. If you have a specific question or concern please contact one of the team and we can advise you in more detail.
What’s bogie load monitoring ?
Our bogie load monitoring system measures the weight across the rolling bogie. You will be alerted if trailers are overloaded which helps reduce the wear & tear on your trailers. TrailerMaster allows you to monitor when the trailer has been unloaded on a customer’s site and identify those trailers travelling empty for too many journeys.
