The partnership between DRS logistics and Axscend began in 2021 when DRS management wanted to review ways to be seen as “Setting the Industry standard for Road Safety & Compliance”. One of the first meaningful solutions was to change from Static Roller Brake Tests to a live Dynamic EBPMS solution. TrailerMASTER’s patented EBPMS solution was an obvious choice being the leader in the development of the solution with a fully integrated live dynamic reporting and telematics tools to support.

The partnership between the two companies grew further when DRS adopted Axscend’s ‘Compliance Connect’ feature replacing DRS’ previous paper-based system for Axscend’s electronic service, maintenance & repair scheduling, defect reporting and document capture software solution. DRS are also benefiting from the shadowing option for DVSA’s Earned Recognition Scheme allowing DRS a complete overview of its compliance status, something that Axscend offer all of its customers utilising its ‘Compliance Connect’ feature.
DRS were so impressed with how Axscend managed the integration of the new system and how easy it was to adopt that they have also taken Axscend’s ‘Driver Connect’ bolt-on providing drivers daily duty ‘walkaround’ & defect reporting. The Intuitive App allows DRS to create fully customised check lists specific to their operation to ensure driver engagement.
And it doesn’t stop there-DRS have also begun a trial of Axscend’s ‘Tyre Pressure Monitoring Sensors’ (TPMS) to help reduce CO2 & fuel, and significantly reduce the risk of roadside blow outs.
